Exp 3 Final Submission: Developed Lumion Environment

Image Captures

The emotions and theatricality evoked by the bridge are achieved through the complex choreography of elements of weather, location and culture.

The clearly divided sections that serve different purposes connect the staff and students to the academic environment by taking advantage of the space above and below the visible area.

Texture Used: Conflicted

This shot highlights both the bridging and standing elements of the school, revealing the ritual and design aspects of the architecture. This duality is achieved by breaking classic architectural goals.

Texture: Connected

The openness of the staff offices allows significant social interaction which is critical in my architectural goal of community and participation.

The linearity of the gallery brings about a simplicity within the complex choreography which is appropriate as many people who may come to this space, will not be regulars of the school and simplicity in design allows effortless interaction within the wider university community.

Texture: Linear

Exp 3 FS: Sketch Model and Moving Elements

This movement connects the school to the wider community within the university through the expression of personality represented by the gallery.

The emotion and theatricality of this movement conflicts with the clarity of the undulating forms, which explores the creative destruction of classic architectural elements.

Baroque Urbanism

Baroque urbanism involves the metamorphosis of emotions within the urban space to create a spirit of utopia built around human interaction, community and participation.

Spontaneous and untidy forms express personality that connects the community to their city by allowing order and chaos. Should size and position of a design adapt to the weather, location, culture, and emotional and theatrical interaction of the people? By breaking apart classic architectural goals of interaction and community and twisting them we can slowly move over to a new design platform. City life demands clean, logical, and precise engineering however, we must push materials beyond the limits and view streets in the city as not just roads.
